NEET, or the National Eligibility Entrance Test, is the entrance exam in India for various programs, including BDS and MBBS. The National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous testing organization, conducts this exam every year in May. It offers around 1,09,048 MBBS, 27868 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 BVSc, and AH seats colleges in India.

To appear for the NEET exam, a candidate must have Biology or Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Physics as mandatory subjects in the 10+2 level, and the candidate should have passed all of these subjects in the 12th board exam.

NEET 2023 Application Form – Documents Required

Candidates must upload the following documents while filling the NEET 2024 Application form:

1. Latest Passport-Size Photograph:-

It should have a white background. The face of the candidate should cover 80% of the photo. Ears should be clearly visible. The candidate must not wear a cap or goggles in the photo.

Specification:- 2.5 x 3.5 inches with 72 DPI

2. Latest Postcard Photograph:-

The candidate’s face should cover around 80% of the photograph area and have a white background. The candidates’ ears should be visible and they must not wear a cap or goggles in the photo. The photo must be taken on or after 01 September 2021.

Specification:- 4.25 x 3.5 inches with 72 DPI

3. Signature of the Candidate:-

It should be in black ink on white paper. The candidates must sign in the running hand.

4. Left-hand Thumb Impression of the Candidate:-

It should be in blue ink on white paper. If it is not possible to make a left-hand thumb impression, a right-hand thumb impression may be used.

How to Fill the NEET 2023 Application Form?

To fill out the NEET 2024 Application form, the candidates have to first register themselves, on the official website of NTA.

Go to the official website – www.neet.nta.nic.in. Navigate to the NEET registration link and click on “New Registration”. You will be asked to enter some personal information, and then an application number will be generated. Create your own customized password and give an answer to a security question for more safety. Note this application number to fill out the application form for the NEET exam.

The step-by-step process of filling out the application form for NEET 2024 after registration is as follows:-

  1. Following successful registration, candidates have to click on the option “Click here to log in,” and log in by entering their NEET 2024 application number and password.

2. Then the NEET 2024 application form will open.

3. The candidates can now fill out the application form for NEET 2024 by providing the details asked in the following sections:-

  • Personal Details
  • Place of Birth
  • Choice of Examination Centre
  • Medium of Question Paper
  • Academic Details 10th standard
  • Academic Details 11th standard

4. Candidates will see the confirmation page after successful fee payment, which should be saved for future reference.

NEET 2023 Phase 2 Registration Documents to be Submitted

1. Category Certificate of the Candidate:-

It includes an SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate.

NEET 2024 Application Form FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

The NEET 2024 application fee has to be paid using a credit card/debit card, net banking, Paytm or UPI.
The application fees for all the categories are given as follows:- General Category – Rs. 1700 General- EWS/ OBC-NCL category – Rs. 1600 SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender category– Rs. 1000 For candidates outside India – Rs. 9500
Earlier, uploading a photo with the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photo at the bottom was mandatory. As per the latest official notification, it is not necessary now to upload a photo with the name or date.
When you successfully pay the application fee for NEET 2024, you will find the details of the payment in the bottom-most part of the confirmation page.
You cannot draw out your application form once you submit it. Hence, you will not get a refund.
